Description:
We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our client’s team on a subcontract basis.
As a PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and plugins. Your expertise in PHP, WordPress, CSS & HTML, will be essential in creating scalable and user-friendly web solutions.
Should have:
- Proven work experience as a PHP Developer, with at least 5 years in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in PHP and WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
- Solid experience in PHP, CSS & HTML, and their application in WordPress development
- Experience working with version control systems, such as Git, or BitBucket
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) and responsive design principles
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex website issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- English - Upper-Intermediate+
- Location - Europe (Romania preferred)
Nice to have:
- Experience with other content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites, themes, and plugins according to client requirements
- Collaborate with the design team to implement creative and visually appealing website designs
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using PHP, CSS & HTML
- Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet project needs
- Optimize website performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions for website malfunctions and bugs
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure best practices, code quality, and maintainability
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in WordPress development.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, assisting them in improving their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery
