Description:
We are looking for Expert Android Mobile Developer to join our client’s team on a subcontract basis.
Digital Banking is a revolution. You will be embracing 12 factor app philosophies and driving key deliverables to our applications and services. Our client believes in codification (Infrastructure and Configuration as code), automation, immutability, CI/CD and scalability — all for the benefit of its customers and users within a secure and continuously compliant environment.
It’s very much a “best tool for the job” mentality at our team that works on Digital Bank project and its tech-stack is continually evolving but to give you a flavor of what team is currently working with here are some of the tools we use:
- Languages: Go, Java (micronaut), Swift, Kotlin, Python
- Tools: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Vault, Consul, istio, private cloud, concourse-CI, EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, Firebase
- Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, Pair-Programming
Should have:
- 5+ years of Android apps development experience
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin programming language
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language
- Experience with Android APIs and Capabilities
- Excellent JetPack knowledge
- Communication with stakeholders and other product team members
- Experience in unit and integration testing
- Experience with common Design Principles
- Experience with DI frameworks
- Experience with Firebase
- Experience with common 3rd party libraries
- Experience with an app distribution process
- Experience with automated builds and CI
- Good knowledge of SOLID, KISS, DRY Principles
- Experience with VCS (git)
- Must have extensive exposure to Firebase
- You are excited about programming in Kotlin, similarly, you consider Coroutines, Android Jetpack (Room, Live Data, View Models), Dagger2, and Retrofit as essential tools
- You know the importance of app usability and UI/UX design
- Works under general direction, accepts guidance and has work reviewed at agreed milestones.
- Has working-level contact with customers and colleagues
- May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects
- Performs a range of work, sometimes complex and non-routine
- Demonstrates effective communication skills
- Plans, schedules and monitors own work (and that of others where applicable) competently
- Contributes fully to the work of teams.hould be defined by HR BP (SFIA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- English - Upper-Intermediate
- Location - Poland, Romania, Spain and Bulgaria
- Timesheet - from Sunday to Thursday, but this is not a must-have. Candidates with a regular Monday-Friday schedule will be suitable as well
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Agile
- Experience with iOS
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, etc)
- Experience with CLI
- Experience with TDD/BDD
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA/Confluence)
- Experience with configuring and using a CI/CD tool such as Jenkins, Concourse-CI
- Experience with Java, Node.js and Python
- Working understanding of code/script (Bash/Shell)
- Desirable experience with: Kong, Spark/Hadoop, Cassandra, redis, MongoDB
- Experience with SAML2/OAUTH2
Responsibilities:
- Develop native mobile applications for Android
- Create and maintaining architectural design and documentation
- Conduct audits, act as a technical consultant for the team
- Introduce and maintain quality standards for the mobile stack
- Start new projects according to the latest best practices
- Participate in pre-sales, estimate new projects
- Lead the development process on the project
